Featured Ingredient: Kale


With the dark leafy green in the midst of it's season, the WCK team are keen to help families across the country get the nutrient dense veggie as a staple item in their fridge. High in iron, Vitamin K and antioxidants, kale is fantastic for aiding proper liver function, preventing blood clots, supporting bone health and protecting against cancer. Now considered a superfood, kale is a versatile veggie that is both tasty and nutritious.
Kale Crisps
This recipe is a great way to replicate the crunchy texture we love of traditional potato crisps, adding a whole load of extra health benefits whilst avoiding all the nasties.
Preheat your oven to 180 degrees and line a large baking tray with tin foil.
Remove the kale leaves off the stalks and scatter over the tray. Drizzle with olive oil and a pinch of paprika.
Mix everything together before placing in the oven on the top shelf.
Check ever 5 minutes and shake the tray so the leaves can crisp all round. 
Remove from oven once crispy and serve warm or cold.
