Dates in bakes!

As well as being totally delicious on their own, dates are an excellent way to naturally sweeten bakes. Blend soft dates in a food processor till a smooth paste and then replace refined sugar for the fruit puree to get a delicious caramel taste, minus the bad stuff.
Refined vs unrefined sugars
Here at WCK we only use unrefined sugars when sweetening food, such as maple syrup, coconut sugar, dates and honey. While the natural varieties do also cause a sugar spike, because they are unprocessed they come with health benefits that refined sugars lose.
